If you have any questions about this notice or about how we process your data, you can write to us at this address.

What data we collect

When you write to us through the website’s contact form, we collect the data you provide directly: name, email address, phone number (if given), and the content of your message. A copy of each request is stored on the website’s server, so that we can refer back to it when replying and to manage any resulting booking or ongoing relationship.

Separately, the server hosting the website automatically records some technical information related to ordinary browsing: IP address, browser and operating system type, pages visited, request timestamps and similar data. We do not cross-reference this with users’ identities; we use it only for the security of the site and to understand, in aggregate form, how it is used.

Cookies and measurement tools

The website uses technical cookies, necessary for it to function, and third-party cookies linked to the services described below. Consent management is handled by Cookiebot, provided by Usercentrics A/S (Denmark): the choices you make through the banner are recorded on this provider’s servers. You can read its notice here: Cookiebot privacy policy.

The detailed list of individual cookies used, their duration and specific purposes are described in our Cookie Policy, which you can consult separately and where you can also change your preferences at any time.

Website usage statistics

To understand how the website is used and to improve it, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited depending on how Google manages the processing. The service is configured with Google’s Consent Mode, which adjusts its behaviour based on the consent you give (or withhold) through the cookie banner. Further details are available in Google’s privacy notice.

Contact form protection

To prevent automated and abusive submissions through the contact form, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. that verifies in the background that a real person is filling in the form, without subjecting you to a traditional captcha. The service analyses some signals related to the device and browser used. For more information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

Map of the property

A Google Maps map is embedded on the contact page, allowing us to show you where the property is located. The service is provided by Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited and may collect data on the page’s traffic even if you do not directly interact with the map. The same Google privacy notice applies here as well.

Where the data is hosted

The website is hosted on servers located in Italy, managed by Parvati Srl, Via Melchiorre Delfico, 12, Rivazzurra di Rimini (47924), Italy. As the hosting provider, Parvati Srl may have technical access to the data passing through the website. Provider’s notice: thirdeye.it/informativa-privacy.php.

Why we process this data and on what legal basis

We process your data to respond to the requests you send us and, if a booking or other contractual relationship follows, to carry it out: in these cases the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures or of a contract to which you are party.

We also process some data, in aggregate or anonymous form, to analyse the website’s traffic and operation: here the legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and efficient. Where applicable (for instance for non-technical cookies), processing is based on the consent you give through the banner.

We may also process your data to comply with legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Providing your data is optional, but if you do not, we may be unable to respond to your request or to comply with a legal obligation.

Who we share your data with

Your data may be disclosed to the providers who help us manage the website and the services described above (hosting, cookie consent management, statistics, anti-spam protection, maps), to the extent necessary to provide each service, as well as to competent authorities where required by law.

Some of these providers (in particular Google’s services) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area; in these cases the transfer relies on adequacy decisions of the European Commission or other safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

How long we keep the data

We keep the data collected through the contact form for as long as needed to handle your request and, if a contractual relationship arises from it, for the duration of that relationship. Beyond this period, we may still retain it for longer, within the limits set by law, to protect our rights (Article 2947 of the Italian Civil Code).

Data processed through cookies and measurement tools is retained for the periods indicated in the Cookie Policy or, where not specified, until consent is withdrawn.

Your rights

At any time you may ask us to access your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict its processing or to object to it, as well as to request its portability in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

To exercise these rights, write to info@villa-argentina.it. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) if you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with applicable law.
